I agree with you Tristan, both sides are terrorists (IDF and HAMAS) and for the first time in history the US is in a position to mediate from afar alongside the UAE (thanks to Trump) BUT Biden is a warhawk he's making the situation worst and soon the warhawks in the Middle East will lose their patience too.
It is hard to say, but I am not sure it would be different under Trump.
Israel has strong ties to the US machinery.
If this was another place, Ukraine then yeah, Trump would probably not ve involved. Israel tho, and it is speculation, I doubt. I feel he would hold up defending "our gratest alley"
Israel is not the problem, the IDF leadership is, Jews have a right to exist and to have a nation BUT never through the genocide of 32.000 people, mostly children, women and aid workers; this will never create stability in the region.
Israeli government is the problem. Who does the IDF take commands from?
Everyone has the right to exist, that doesn't necessarily imply a nation per culture. South Africa is home to Afrikaners, Zulus, Xhosa, Venda, Pedi,. ... yet here we are.
I don't associate a culture with statehood.
Not sure about the Israeli Government Tristan, huge protests inside Knesset - the Jews are good people, they just want to have a nation and long-term development and everyone is fed up of terrorists. Iran could have helped the Palestinians with development, education and health, instead they chose to subvertly give Hamas weapons, rockets, bombs and terrorist training. People want food, clothes, water, medicine, education, agriculture and energy - not Jihad.
Iran has been playing a very dangerous game against the US, Israel and Saudi Arabia. They could have simply focused on their internal development but they decided to sell weapons to terrorist organizations, burn western flags, call for Jihad and justify their public actions through religious propaganda. The UAE is the only muslim nation which understood the concept of true development and I can see the UAE working with Israel in the future.
People are good people, I'm not critiquing the Jewish faith.
But there is a huge different between the Israeli state and Jewish people. The two are not linked in any meaningful way.
