Waking up today thinking about all the possibilities that come from being able to use a single key to sign into different clients - some with algos, some without. I interact with notes and other stuff the way I choose, and that is really special!

I agree! What are your thoughts Nostr? What applications can be built, what clients that utilize the fact that one Pub Key and one Private Key identify you no matter where you go and keep you connected to your followers no matter what you use.

Imagine if you had an app for things like product or service reviews that used this. A shopping app, etc. A traffic app, etc. What can you come up with. No new accounts just plug in two strings of data and you are connected.

This is what OpenID promised but failed to deliver, and turned into "now what big box brand Connect thingy did I sign in with again"?

The biggest challenge is the complete lack of recoverability when inevitably a customer loses his keys and a website owner is made to look like a chump because there's nothing much he can do to help.
