Sounds like trying to meet the minimum effort requirements for keeping unemployment checks.
They aren't anything here in the states max is $358 a week plus 5 hoops you gotta jump thur every 2 week's to keep it going. I just told them keep I'll do without.
Way too easy here in Oz, the Government pays them way too much to just sit at home, bloody great country Australia 🤣

It's a game in the US. When I was sick and unemployed, the social worker *literally* laughed me out of the building for asking for help with healthcare. Others here drive up to the office in brand new vehicles and collect thousands in benefits.

How does someone like that get as far as an interview though..? Surely they would have had a terrible resume too?
I’m getting that desperate that I no longer even bother with resumes! 😩
I know previously when I’ve been involved in hiring staff we would get something like 100 applications but out of that it was still hard to find one with the right mix of experience, qualifications and the right attitude..
Right now I just want someone to turn up on time and do the shift! 🤣
