The house I’m currently living in and my neighbor’s house is completely covered in English Ivy and bindweed. I’m debating wether I should leave it to use as fodder for my (future) worms, or rip it out and replace it with something humanly edible like grapes 🤔 #gardening #urban

Depends how well established they are. Bindweed isnt easy to remove especially if it's roots are intertwined with everything else.

took years to get rid of the ivy on my property, killed two maple trees.

That’s crazy cuz that same fence also has tons of maple trees that are now like 5 feet tall

they were old trees 40+ years and covered in ivy and half dead before I moved here. had to end up cutting one down after the other was uprooted in a storm.
