I think the whole world is suffering from unaligned incentives. We should have compassion for and teach people not to waste themselves with people who don’t care about them or don’t value them. I think we should teach young women and men how to take care of themselves and their soul by being respectful to themselves and others. When two young people fall in love, they may explore it physically. I do not think it is for a father to decide who he will “ give his daughter to” unless it is her will to have him decide. And if people choose to keep virginity until marriage, that is beautiful. I don’t personally associate that choice to mean that a person is defiled, unless they in fact, have defiled themselves by being assholes and disrespectful to one another. I think sex is spiritually sanctioned between two people who loved one another. No defilement needed. And for those who I perceive as having low self-esteem who squander their sexual energy, it is not for me to judge. I love the Jesus who breaks bread with prostitutes and tax collectors. The fag, hating woman controlling Jesus is not my favorite.
