As a Russian satellite it only makes sense that you are cold...

Not a personal attack, but recently I feel more and more bleak about Austria.

Austria has historic ties with Russia but I would not say Austria is a satellite of Russia, Austria is on paper neutral, but at the same time a member of the EU and a NATO partner supporting Ukraine. But we are dependent of Russian gas, expensive LNG and IT services from the U.S. and daily products and resources from China. Does this make us a satellite of all three countries?

I still see some differences. The ties are historical, but pretty strong, politicians deeply in bed with the Kremlin, Raiffeisenbank still doing business as usual in Russia, Nehammer flying to Moscow instead of Kiev when the war started... The dependence on Russian gas was a strategic choice. But you are right, satellite is a bit pre-iron curtain, Sleeper Cell might be more precise.

Again, I would like to stress that this is not meant against people of Austria, but the government and the establishment.
