Homesteader / Subsistence Farmer. Maybe I don't need to thrive financially to thrive. Maybe the small amount of money I generate selling my surpluses would be considered "thriving".
Absolutely, there is no right or wrong way. That sounds like a nice way to live if you ask me.
If anything this is how small businesses start! Eventually you may start getting creative in your approach in selling the surpluses, and something new develops out of it.
