Yankees assistant hitting coach Brad Wilkerson ejected after bad strikeout call
MIAMI — The Yankees were showing signs of life — and signs of annoyance. In the eighth inning of their eventual 8-7 loss to the Marlins, the Yankees led, 7-2, when Anthony Volpe was punched out by home plate umpire James Hoye. The pitch appeared to be on the bottom of the strike zone, though strike two was a bit underneath the zone.
