Well it's just pushing the origin question a step further back, and further away from the title creatures, it doesn't really answer anything. If you're not happy with "xenomorphs exist because they do" then "engineers exist because they do" won't satisfy you anyway, so it's a lame attempt to throw in barely enough content to justify more movie funding.

Thankfully didn't watch that one. Both xenomorphs and yautja deserve more than modernity can offer them, their franchises are about alive as biden is imo.
