I'm noticing the majority of resumes now have something on them saying "look at me I am not a white male". I didn't have issues getting responses for the few overseas jobs I applied to however so it's strictly an American thing.
I had a friend who worked at indeed and apparently it was no secret that they were filtering whites. They had more than a few meetings talking about how to avoid lawsuits if anybody found out.

For what it's worth, applying to jobs in the traditional fashion doesn't really work anyway. The phrase "your network is your net worth" had been around forever and it means that getting a good position is practically impossible without an insider to vouch for you. That's ultimately how i got every job I've ever had.
