How far apart do you keep them? And why do they need separated? You’ve got me intrigued

The distance between the ewes and the lambs depends on which fields need grazing. We wean the lambs off their mothers once the lambs are old enough to eat grass (usually in the fall) so that the mothers have a few months free of nursing and can start putting on weight for the winter.
