Come and get it! 🫂

Aha! Μολών λαβέ is a perfect answer, especially to a Greek 😀. I have missed the Turkish edition of the Eastern Roman empire cuisine. Especially an iskender kebap would be perfect.

Ah, i have to attack the fridge now it seems

That wasn’t my intention, but it could’t it better.

I’m pretty sure that Döner is originated by Turks but every source has their biases. The main point is we live the same culture, komşu 😁.

If you’ll come to Turkey, let me know. I’ll take you to the eat Iskender kebab. 🤤

Iskender kebap was invented in Prusa (don't know how you call this city) in 1867 by Iskender efendi who was a butcher. So definitely turkish. About doner in general i don't know. The fact is that once i have heard a turkish historian who said (and i completely agree) that ancient turks were nomads and didn't really had a cuisine. The ancient greeks had a cuisine but a poor one. Both ended up having the rich Eastern Roman empire cuisine.

So the same base, just regional differences. That's why i always eat in turkish restaurants when i am abroad. If i come to Turkyie i'll go north to the black sea. My grandmother's family was from there. Never have been there though...

We call Prusa as Bursa. Not changed the name.

Black Sea region is amazing. Last summer I was in there. This is a random photo that I shot in Trabzon.

Its beautiful

I’d want you to see this place. We literally drank freshly milked cow milk above the clouds.

Sounds very hermit ish i like it

Some additional photos would be fine for the moment. Show us a few please 🤠
