I wonder about the privacy of passkeys. They are stored on the mobile device, and remove passwords? Hmmm, I am skeptical about this.

Hey, That should get you that basics of Passkeys. Fyi- There are hardware-bound and unbound variants.
They are not currently moveable, and for quite a while still, so a good password manager that's cross-platform is advised.
