UXLink Attacker Falls Victim to Phishing Mid-Exploit
The Web3 social platform UXLink suffered a severe security breach, with its token plummeting over 90%. A hacker compromised a multisignature wallet, minted billions of tokens, and transferred crypto to exchanges. While UXLink worked to freeze assets and announced a token swap, the attacker ironically fell victim to a phishing scam, losing over 500 billion UXLINK tokens. UXLink is implementing a new, fixed-supply smart contract to prevent future minting incidents and rebuild trust.
