Right, HDL and LDL cholesterol. low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol and high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol. LDL (bad) cholesterol - the main source of cholesterol buildup and blockage in the arteries. HDL (good) cholesterol - HDL helps remove cholesterol from your arteries. A healthy balance between good and bad cholesterol is important. It’s not that you should not eat cholesterol, It’s that you should not eat the same food with the same cholesterol content every day. Olive and fish oils are very good sources of HDL cholesterol and help to clear blockage in arteries. Too much HDL cholesterol can lead to thin veins and trouble healing cuts as blood will not clot as easily naturally. It’s all about balance really.
