I had the same thought. Such a bizarre thing to say. Apparently in “politically charged” murders such as these there’s a federal agency that descends and coaches the parents on what to say. You can imagine the way in which they gaslight and manipulate these vulnerable parents during the worst moment of their life. Truly disgusting that such an agency exists. It should be immediately disbanded.

Yeah it’s real. You are seeing parents who were coached on what to say by a government funded professional crisis management team. I imagine if they aren’t “coachable” they aren’t given the press conference. The press conferences you see are only the compliant ones.
