I think this is how AI companies will start getting our data for “feeding AI”, by providing cheaper cloud storage alternatives. Not that existing ones won’t probably do it, but I’d be a bit worried about new entries to the space with “too good of a deal”

10TB of storage until the moment the company decides it no longer makes sense for them to keep giving you that access because there aren't enough new customers buying new accounts or uploading novel data (for their AI) to make it worth it.

No matter what the TOS says, very few users are going to upload only things to which they are the sole copyright holder. Unless they have a way to know, they're still going to have issues.
