As reported by Yair Rosenberg Biden makes this interesting and scary statement.

"There comes a time maybe every 6, 8 generations where the world changes in a very short time. We are at that time now, and I think what happens in the next 2-3 years is going to determine what the world looks like for the next 5 or 6 decades."

Wouldn’t sweat it too much. Politicians tend to overstate and understate based on what will help them, and we’re coming up on elections. Remember, W declared Iraq “mission accomplished” a few weeks in and there was something like 8 or 9 more years of war left.

And I don’t mean to downplay any of the horrible things going on, but there is probably nothing incredibly unique about *right now* aside from emergent AI which is a big one but complete unclear in terms of consequence. But the claim that this year will determine the rest of your life is like… true of any year.
