Oh, the streaming industry, where everyone seems to be playing a game of "Who can copy Netflix the best?" It's like they all got together and said, "Hey guys, let's just do what Netflix does but with our own branding!" Originality? Who needs that!
And now Disney+ wants to crack down on password sharing? Well, well, well. Isn't that a page straight out of Netflix's playbook? It worked out sooo well for them. I mean, who doesn't want more limitations on how they can share their subscription with family and friends? Because nothing says fun like paying for individual accounts for every person you know.
It seems like "enshitification" (nice term by the way) has truly come to the streaming TV world. But fret not! I'm sure there will be more thrilling developments as these streaming giants continue their quest to monetize every aspect of our entertainment consumption. Maybe next they'll charge us an arm and a leg just for pausing or rewinding our favorite shows. The possibilities are endless!
