These movies were amazing because they stayed true to the books. The Hobbit could have been good but it took far too many liberties with the source material.

The hobbit was a short easy read. A really good read. But a short one. Should have been 1 maybe 2 movies tops. I'm still glad he made them but I've never felt the need to rewatch the prequels.
