I did it, but it doesn't seem to show on some clients (I only see it on Amethyst)
This is the latest profile/meta event I’ve seen for your pubkey. It’s missing lud06 or lud16 values, which are lightning address (LNURL format) and lightning pay address (email format). You only need one.

That's a normal on chain address. Check out alby.com to get set up with a lightning address.
I use Zap as my wallet and I have nothing else to provide than this address. Tbh my BTC has been in cold storage since before lightning was released (I've got some catching up to do).
Lightning addresses are custodial unless you host your own domain and run the appropriate software.
I use stacker.news but Alby and wallet of Satoshi are both easy to use options.
