One of my favorite gym hacks is counting down from 8 to 0 instead of up from 1 to 8 (on a set with 8 reps).

It tricks your brain into thinking finality is coming and your body pushes itself slightly more.

I will try it. Sometimes I just count in smaller numbers - just 2 reps, just 2 reps …

It makes it near impossible to go to -1 though...
