Learn about what collateral is. You’re silly if you think “buying a pack of smokes” is really relevant at all. Try sending gold to your trading partner if your navy can’t secure the passage. Now do the same with bitcoin. Which is easier?

You’re intentionally disregarding the lightning network because it invalidates your narrative, but even if the lightning network didn’t exist bitcoin would still be the best collateral that’s ever existed for international trade.
