Following the business model of #Apple, #Samsung is literallly giving us ✨ NOTHING ✨ this year. I think smartphones and computers should be built to function properly for a longer period of time instead of releasing the same phone since 2021 every year.

The advancements in smartphone technology are so small I don’t even understand why they release a new phone on a yearly basis and then complain about climate change and trying to be “green”.

Green my ass, stop creating e-waste if you’re not bringing anything innovative.

I work in IT and there is a case to be made on needing new computers/phones every 5-8 years. that's when you truly see software out pace hardware. Even then though with so much processing being done in the cloud there's no longer a real hard case for that either anymore

Exactly, I noticed that too. Most of the things I do today are actually in the cloud. It’s interesting to see how things will turn out, maybe in the future we will all use screens connected to the internet. No need for good hardware if you have a high speed internet connection, but again, we have to build more decentralized solutions so no big corporation can mess with your browsing.
