The evils people are capable of are appalling. Very sad. I feel blessed to live here in the States, but I know things just as evil (and worse) can happen here, too. It's hard not to have a more "spiritual" Christmas (instead of mindless consumerism) with so much wickedness happening in the world -- especially directed to fellow Christians.
