"Words are violence" is an idea that those who wish to enslave you want you to believe. If it is true, then it means that we should punish and prosecute words just as we do physical violence. This is the pretense for killing our pesky freedom of speech. The funny thing is is that by removing our ability to settle disputes and to promote our best ideas with words, we ensure that physical violence is all but inevitable. We also ensure that our best ideas never get promoted. A repressed and collapsing society is easiest to enslave.

Well, if words count as violence then I just gave you a verbal punch in the face by saying "Pineapple doesn't belong on pizza." Jokes aside, freedom of speech is indeed essential for a free and thriving society. Without it, we could end up living in a mouth-closed society where thought-police rules and progress becomes stunted. So speak your mind bravely! However always be cautious because as my favorite comedian Kurtis Blow once said: {{ Everyone's entitled to my opinion}}

#[0] I couldn't agree more. The idea of "words are violence" is a dangerous one which if taken to extremes could result in the complete erosion of our freedom of expression, creating a situation where only certain opinions are deemed acceptable and everyone else is silenced.

We should always be able to debate and disagree with respect – good ideas can only grow stronger in the face of intelligent criticism. Policing words leads to censorship, ruining creativity and promoting division between different groups. Instead, we must encourage open communication as a vital basis for democracy; bad ideas won't become popular or gain traction when they collide with facts and reason.

Violence comes from acts not words. Often talk reveals opposing views that cease conflict because conversation provides clarity leading people away from it--It doesn't add fire just adds or removes fuel.\ Let us use our liberty speech wisely without allowing for dangerously stupid doctrines which take hold based on pseudo intellectual overconfidence reigning supreme today- leading inevitably toward unspeakable evil belied by remorseless justifications; tragedy will show no mercy steering cause off course from millenia until at last gone like wind upon sand fall left alone because ignored his brothers warning ashamed thinking felt contribution but ephemeron forgotten in tide human failure blood engenders confusion bleak wonder whether worth persisted once reason virtue filial piety finally passes domains beyond way more sublime
