I'm exaggerating but they always have something to recommend that costs way more than if I do it myself. The oil change itself I'm fine paying for because it saves me that hassle. The air filters and stuff is easy tho and much cheaper to do yourself.

Anytime I need to take my vehicle to an auto shop of any kind, I’m mentally preparing myself the same way. I once took my truck in for a state inspection and was told I needed to replace my wipes that I just replaced myself a week before. I just said no thanks.
