Anonymity breeds a healthy lack of trust in general, which is fine for bitcoin in general as we are told to verify. However with social media, you want to naturally connect with people, and it's difficult to do so when everyone is trying to hide their identify. I'm finding it difficult to interact with people and it's not for a lack of trying. So the reality is, the only thing keeping me coming back is btc news hits here first, and zaps, which have been giving me ideas on how I can build something that functions around zaps myself. If I'm looking to post fam pictures or church projects that get attention, I go to Facebook for my 200 likes.
I need to be connected to a Wi-Fi network when I'm out and about. I have a generous monthly mobile data plan, but it doesn't provide as much as 25 GB of data per day, which actually happened once when I was using Nostr on my phone during a trip.
You could try only using this on mobile. Didn't try it, don't know how much is using, because i have an unlimited plan but might work better for you.

At this point, mostly a small user base. Joined earlier today and spent most of the day trying really hard to find any worthwhile content and content creators to not that great a success. Though it is better than certain older alternatives such as Flote or Gab.

That is really cool too, however at this moment I am trying to figure out, where do I see the zap history or any mention of it happening outside of WoS.

i am on Plebstr and can see it on respective posts, but I don't know if there is any central place, where I can see all of them across posts. (and if I understand it correctly, there is also an option to zap a person directly without any post. so thst too I guess.
A combination of workload/interface and nostr‘s extremist culture. I’m learning the system and taming the latter through liberal muting, but it took me by surprise and I’m frankly still a little guarded.

Fortunately, it seems to be a vocal minority and avoidable with some effort.
