I have an opinion that the Nostr ecosystem still does not have an adequate recommendation algorithm. Everything is based on posts from large accounts, hashtags do not work due to bots and spam, interest in third-party topics has decreased, shitposting is huge, chaos in general. These are consequences of decentralization, novelty and whole vibe, but they prevent contentmakers and ordinary users from being attracted here. This should be corrected over time, but there is also a risk that then nostr will turn into what we are moving away from. Time will tell.

Bluesky has starter packs… basically lists of users recommended by any user… one more note in the profile and that's it: you have recommendations without an imposed algorithm… oh, they can also be seen as a link so you can create an account by following those on the list, you can also include feeds to recommend

It's underrated, it is simple, inexpensive and the users themselves are the ones who recommend it… nothing better in my opinion

The basis for such solutions already exists. nostr:npub1yzvxlwp7wawed5vgefwfmugvumtp8c8t0etk3g8sky4n0ndvyxesnxrf8q allows you to make smart widgets. nostr:npub12vkcxr0luzwp8e673v29eqjhrr7p9vqq8asav85swaepclllj09sylpugg has customizable and savable feeds (I hope they'll do it shareable). And in any client you can make a post with links that everyone can share. But first, it needs to be done, secondly, this requires verification because it opens another gate for spam. And thirdly, for the average modern user it still looks like a crutch in the absence of a recommendation system.
