Yes exactly. A web application with a browser extension login is dead on arrival in my opinion. Since browser extensions don't exist on mobile, logging in with one defeats the whole purpose of a progressive web app being that is supposed to function the same way on any device.

Browser extensions DO exist on mobile, Nostore works on iOS for example. It’s just almost nobody knows it’s possible. I didn’t before last year.

I can attest that Nostore works incredibly well and use it everyday with multiple accounts.

I rescind my previous note. Please, excuse my ignorance. I will say Mobile browser extensions need some work before they're ready for mainstream.
