hum... I need to check what is going on. I saw that but when I tested it showed up just fine.
nostr:npub1gcxzte5zlkncx26j68ez60fzkvtkm9e0vrwdcvsjakxf9mu9qewqlfnj5z how does Amethyst handle chats for live events? People been saying that it's broken for a while (as in, they send chat messages FROM Amethyst which don't display anywhere else but they can see the chat of other people using any app).
I just updated the app to test chat. Went into nostr:npub15g32vct8xh0ca2eelp5al6y889cgrjgng4nyfg8vh2g9yny8ltzqgafsvp's chat, said GM and it doesn't display for me in noStrudel's and Zap.stream's chat. I can however see the chat messages sent from the other clients.

Thanks Vitor! I'd suggest to test with multiple apps open at the same time and perhaps without being authenticated to view chat where possible. I also think some WoT settings on relay levels might be fucking up the chat experience across nostr live events.
We kinda need to find a standard for those chat implementations. It is a bad user experience when someone tries to engage in a public chat but feels ignored. And the creator feels bad about ignoring zaps, raids or interactions because he simply doesn't see them unless someone else in chat points it out. Zaps in particular, I feel terrible about ignoring people when they give me their money. Even if that is 21 sats.
When streaming I use noStrudel's chat because I can set the social graph to display events from everyone. This gives me the best result to catch chatters from most apps and engage with them. But even that chat is prone to get stuck or doesn't display chat alerts - after some time. I'm probably one of the most active streamers on nostr and even I haven't found a good solution yet.
Like I said, hopefully we can find a way to make chats work across ALL apps equally. I think it's one of the biggest issues nostr live events have.
