Alright! Back at the bench. I’m now working up my final hunting load. I landed on VV N555 for powder (running a 6.5 creed) and Hornady ELD-X 143gr bullets. I know this gun will shoot these bullets well and I’ve seen them get the work done in the field but I have misgivings about them being cup-core bullets and not bonded.

What bonded precision bullets do you think are worth looking at? All I’ve found is Nosler Accubond.

This is powder development. I have just one round for each step working up to velocities I’d be interested in, then 5 rounds in 0.3 grain increments to max load.

I don’t have a great powder scale so I used my phone to remove parallax. I don’t know if it matters but I’m loading for precision (whatever I can get from a factory barrel) and I want to practice the best methods I know.

Next step: Finding time to go to the range! #whereswaldo

Norma makes a Bondstrike in a .264 143gr. I haven’t used them personally but I’ve heard great things regarding accuracy.

You rock.

Thanks!

Great name!

I’ve only found the loaded ammo, no bullets. ☹️ hopefully it will gain popularity and production. It looks like a great bullet!
