Yes, but the lightning network has different trade-offs.
People are more likely to use ETF's for retirement. I would never tell someone to keep their retirement on WOS.
Keeping 100,000 sats on WOS you plan on spending anyway is a different story.
I used my own self-hosted my own lightning address before, but payments failed all the time. Because of this, sovereign lightning addresses pose more risk (not recieving zaps) than using custodial lightning solutions.
