If yes, why is Microsoft/Apple OS more adopted than Linux?

Convenience and company tech support are more important than freedom and customizability for most people.
I wonder if that will change over time. Start9 and other plug and play node companies are emerging and offering much more than bitcoin apps. Perhaps as they continue to build to offer equivalent or better tools and provide excellent tech support, the market will start shifting that way.
