It's complicated.

Unfortunately the government does so much in so many areas of our lives, that we all vote for the one we judge the lesser evil. And the worst is that both parties in the US agree on unlimited spending/war.

I don't vote in the US, and I don't know your friend's situation, but I can think of thousands of reasons to vote for Trump.

For example: someone that has kids and is religious might prefer Trump than voting for the Democrats that are pro abortion and pro LGTV4K+ in the schools...
