I didn’t sacrifice the follower count you have, but think you’re one of the leaders educating about the flaws of X, yet you still support the site with your time and influence.

It’s mentally unhealthy to drive by your ex’s house every day after you’ve been broken up for months, especially if your old friends are still hanging out with her.

Telling people the ship is sinking while you’re dining in the ships restaurant isn’t very motivating. Leaving the dining hall empty would probably help get the picture across better to the people too dumb to notice in the first place.
Helping people out of the water happens when the ship is gone.
Plus these are social media apps, not something like life or death like you’re indicating. Twitter obviously irritates Matt and yet he chooses to stay.
I agree on the metaphor & this is not life or death. maybe people enjoy poking their own pain as a reminder to not get to this point next time. I have seen many a parent love through bad choices of their kids. I felt you were a bit low attacking the follower count rather than questioning motives.
I have no voice on the old steamer so I have watched it sink deeper and into memory. May those lost find their way.
