Regarding your panels, why not tilt them up towards the south with an adjustable support that allows angle adjustments for seasonal azimuth? You will need to space them to avoid shading, but it looks like you have plenty of roof. Generally and depending on exact location 17 degree west of NS is a roughly optimal facing angle. Awesome stuff you’re doing! 🤘🏻

Thanks for the ideas. Tilting them seems to be the easiest thing to try to improve output. We shall see!

Imagine a line coming directly from the sun to the surface. You want the panel perpendicular to that line. Sunlight has 1000 watts per square meter depending on various factors. Solar panels are about 22% efficient at best, you need every advantage you can get! Glad to help. I’ve been off grid for a few years, learned a few things along the way.
