Anyway, I didn't want to insult but just to be very direct because it's very sad to have gone from people like Antonopoulos to these speeches or to the books of Saifedean Scammous who rewrites economic history just to support his own, however shareable, thesis. You can't say that the powers that be have kicked you out of the academy when it's simply that you invent facts and theories.

Or people like @HODL who says “don’t invest in yourself invest in bitcoin”. How do you earn more bitcoin if you don’t invest in yourself and become more valuable?

Sorry to be brutal and I hope no one gets offended but we need to recover quality in this space. Bitcoin is not the same as 15 years ago. It has grown and improved. We are not the same as 15 years ago: we have gotten worse. Where are the Hals, Rosses and so on?

Yes i understand how you feel, i cannot say i agree with you but have heard the sentiment before and to some extent can feel it. But this space is not just for Bitcoin, there are many here that feel there are a number of things amiss in the world and want to express that to others, they can use this space. I don't think its for us to judge that.

Also as more adopt you will get significant difference of opinion on issues, Bitcoin needs more adoption by those with a multitude of opinions if it is to be anymore than a tool for the rich to prop up dodgy and corrupt digital currency.

I agree with you, but I think that how you do one thing you do everything. I welcome the most varied opinions and luckily there are. I think that with great power comes great responsibility and since here we are not talking about my cousin at the bar but about people who have made a name for themselves in this space, who give interviews, write books etc and also manage to earn money from this I think it would be nice if these people took a bit of responsibility and tried to raise the bar of quality both when they talk about Bitcoin and when they talk about the rest of the world's problems otherwise they are no different from the clown world they criticize.
