If someone didn’t get 1 Bitcoin before today, most people in the world will never be able to afford buying one at this price any time soon. They’ll be relegated to sats. A partial Bitcoin. A fraction.

I’m fully aware Bitcoin is limited in supply. And everyone in the world wouldn’t get a full Bitcoin even if it was free. My point is that, as of today, the average person couldn’t *afford* to buy one Bitcoin if they wanted to. So how is it really freedom money? Are y’all giving away some for free?

ā€œRelegated to satsā€ is a pretty sweet deal.

The price of $100,000 per bitcoin is an arbitrary value that only humans can understand. Since bitcoin is limited in supply and fiat money is not, the ratio of bitcoin:fiat will always change. This means that it is not important to have a whole bitcoin to be free. It means that no matter how much of a bitcoin you actually have, you will become free. The only factor is time. For example, if I own 0.1 of a bitcoin now, it will only take a few years longer until I will be "free". But it is inevitable (as long as I know how to secure my bitcoin).

The whales also understand.

People always leave the #v4v out. Paying others in #btc will cause the circular economics ( #Bitcoin standard) that happens outside many locations other than the #US

PI in math 🧮 is almost infinite. ā™¾ļø

But I don’t look at #Bitcoin as an investment like some do. For me it’s always been about #humanity and world peace ā˜®ļø

Thanks for sharing your view. For the people who see Bitcoin as an investment, cool. I don’t have a problem with that.

I’m specifically talking about slogans people like to use and reference Bitcoin as ā€œfreedom money.ā€ I hear things likeā€¦ā€œStop working for fiat.ā€ ā€œStay poor.ā€ šŸ™„

I'm someone who's not interested in btc as a stock, and I use it as a way to get paid and pay for things.

Slogans "freedom money" etc. without action steps are definitely lame, but what don't you understand? I'm just wondering what's stopping others from adopting btc as a currency too.

My take remains the same. People are so used to having ā€œsomethingā€ in their hand 🤚 to pay with.

Fiat went to diners cards then to credit cards. Mass adoption can be accomplished with NVK cards IMO.

#asknostr Agree?

I don't know (and probably won't use anyway) what nvk cards are.

Looks like kyc garbage. Not sure how it could be anonymous. Their TOS & privacy policy read like every other statist corp out there. https://coinkite.com/terms

Appreciated … this is how we work together for education & humanity. Rock on 🤘

coinkite is OG bitcoin, you can buy with BTC, and BTC only. Nothing KYC about it. Coldcard is THE standard for hard wallets.

Plus, doesn't nostr:nprofile1qqsw3znfr6vdnxrujezjrhlkqqjlvpcqx79ys7gcph9mkjjsy7zsgygpr9mhxue69uhhqatjv9mxjerp9ehx7um5wghxcctwvsq3samnwvaz7tmjv4kxz7fwdehhxarjd93kztnrdaksz9thwden5te0wfjkccte9ekk7um5wgh8qatz7tvu4p purge your shipping details after 30 day or something like that? Keeping it just long enough for customer service reasons.

Yup, could also ship it to a P.O box. He's been huge in the push for reproducible builds and just a giant in the space. trashing coinkite is something...

I've never used the satscard, but have handed out many opendimes and love the coldcard. No KYC involved, open source code, and legit security. If you don't get it, I don't have time to explain it to you.

I also don't need mass adoption šŸ¤·šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļø

My bio and notes show what I agree with and don't. I'm an agorist. I was doing all of this before 2018. I don't HODL. I get customers to pay me in btc and I use it like money. Sometimes people trade with me using other things. Period. I couldn't care less about how others use it, but if just for "number go up drr!", financial speculation/treating it like stocks, govt adopting & regulation, that is going bite people in the butt. Its popularity is not important to me, just like anarchists don't require wide-scale adoption of anarchy/agorism. We are individuals, not a collective.

Salute 🫔 Heard. The intersection of those who have been in #Bitcoin since 2008 are coming head on with perceived threats & influencers. It’s hilarious šŸ˜‚ & beautiful to witness. Hugs šŸ«‚

Yes, influencers & speculators capitalizing on the rise of btc are doing their job—influencing & speculating. You and I are smart enough to know better lol. Hopefully more people don't fall into their traps.

Fax šŸ“

Ima not that smart in most things. Like you said about anarchists … they wouldn’t let me take my life size guillotine to Washington DC 😹😹😹 🫔 I’ll listen to my friends when needed. Waited all my life for this šŸ«‚āļøšŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø

There are a few flavors of anarchist. I'd let you take it DC ...

Hahaha šŸ˜‚ I mean … TBF Ima still alive so they were right.

Long term users of #bitcoin won’t have a reason to use ā€œcards.ā€ For me: it’s a way for mass adoption. Like nostr:npub1j8y6tcdfw3q3f3h794s6un0gyc5742s0k5h5s2yqj0r70cpklqeqjavrvg showed as a test in Nashville #BTC conference.

The tangibility will be a bridge to others IMO.

You’re welcome. It can be both to be sure šŸ™

Excellent point. Appreciated.

Slogans are just advertising.

99% bleed for 1% greed is something I’ve said. That might be more in people’s face about the need to eat the fiat. #EatTheRich seemed to bother people. Again if you’re in the #USA … #America we are richer than most other countries. So I’m quite literally trolling myself šŸ˜¹šŸ«‚

Many on #Nostr didn’t like me initially. Why? I admitted to being retired #US #Army & Fed. ļæ¼Hate on me for being part of the military industrial complex cause part of me agrees. I was a poor kid who believed in the false equivalence of patriotism. No one can deny that mistakes were made but I learned.

Hugs šŸ«‚

This here.

To understand bitcon as freedom money you must first understand how the average human is forced to play a game that is rigged against them.

Governments destroy our ability to save and store wealth through inflation which is exponential. At 10 percent inflation you must double your salary in 7 years and quadruple it in 14 years and 8x it in 21 years. And this is if you are lucky enough to be in one of the countries with best currencies. You are a slave in this case.

The price of bitcoin doesn't matter, what matter is that no one can you a slave by destroying the currency you get paid in if you save bitcon.

It is a way for billions to achieve freedom, not a get rich quick scheme. But they must first understand how the system enslaves them.

It is a very common misconception that Bitcoin max supply somehow means that most people won’t be able to own it.

Current earth population is 8.2 billion people and there’s a maximum of 21 million Bitcoins that are divisible by 100,000,000. It was never the intention that each human had to own one whole Bitcoin, because what matters in this context is how divisible it is, not the max supply.

My recommendation is that you spend the time to go down the Rabbit hole of Bitcoin and money, it will probably be one of the best investments you’ll ever make.
