Lately I have been having to take my walks in the early afternoon instead of the morning. Fall is starting to bite so it’s generally cold in the mornings but by early afternoon, when just a whiff of summer sun hits when you face west, it’s chilly. I can do chilly. Started out down my drive with Jack on the leash leading the way. Got about half the way down my block when I realized I forgot my headphones. I usually listen to some tunes or a podcast. Wasn’t worth turning back; so onward.
I get about three blocks from the house when I hear a real peaceful noise that sounds like a babbling brook or a water feature or something. I looked around for the sound and then looked up and realized this beautiful sound was coming from this big tree, one of the few left in the neighborhood with leaves still on it.
I stood there for about 10 minutes just watching the leaves ripple with the breeze and taking in God’s symphony. I stood there until a squirrel in the tree above me dropped an apple core that damn near hit me on top of the head.
I shit you not. https://video.nostr.build/1651f3eb94ed405ae067effd157505b95fafaff791cfd03f65b85f39e3868bdd.mp4
