you have to use a media host to host your media :) that can be nostr.build or any other one, such as blossom.primal.net, cdn.satellite.earth, nostrcheck.me, etc. or you can run your own media server.

Dang, I was looking into nostrcheck.me but was hoping for something a bit more seamless like nostr.build used to have before the paywall. Was just npub+login and bam theres the link. Thanks anyway
you can upload to https://blossom.primal.net for free, just add that to your client, if your client allows you do specify these things. and if you need more storage space or larger uploads, you can purchase premium at https://primal.net/premium
There's also https://nostrmedia.com
This is good except free uploads expire after 30 days. Didn’t realize how dependent i was on using nostr.build for pics/vids. And maybe new people to nostr might hit this wall too
