"relay front end" you mean a live configuration interface right?

i'm writing a DM based command interface right now that's why it's broken - khatru handling of DMs is broken right now, i expect to have it fixed tomorrow

it was almost working, just found more race conditions, unneccessary goroutines, and several other loony things that need to be dealt with
