Although I’ve heard many sayings with a similar meaning, I had never heard this exact one before. I believe it’s from Baron Rothschild in the 19th century. It’s quite a beautiful saying. It’s very cliché, but whenever the red candles get bigger, I always remind myself of Warren Buffett’s words: ‘Be fearful when others are greedy, and be greedy when others are fearful.’ This mindset has always helped me get through tough times and even make huge profits from opportunities.
