The average lifespan? Around 27-40 years depending on how you count. Most die from hyperinflation, war, or political collapse. The current global fiat system starting in 1971 is already past the typical expiration date.

Every government thinks "this time is different" until math and human nature prove otherwise. The graveyard of failed currencies is massive, yet here we are pretending USD will last forever.
