Using url check is so much better tho and it doesnt make nostr devs have to do/track one more thing that is unreleated to their dev. I use it for this use case and to automatically translate x links to xcancel links.
I do it manually, it’s much easier when you understand the format.

I am too fat fingered and end up deleting the whole url, with url check, i clickc the url, it pops up before the browser and asks me which browser to open woth and then has buttons to manipulate the url however i have configured it. Works for switching youtube links to alternate apps, njump, etc so i dont have to remember aby of that after setup.
It does this already, otherwise all media urls or regular urls would not be rendered.

They "manipulate" it too. An image with 1200px x 1200px will not be visible in full size on your feed. Anyway, if you prefer big tech mapping your social circle, you could just keep clicking on external links with tracking links, while others would voluntarily opt out. Up to you.

Changing the original resolution of an image or rendering it isnt the same as actually manipulating signed data
