Artists who produce digital works are all honey, no sting. They have no ability whatsoever to protect their work from redistribution. It's a fight they'll never win.

Copyright laws were always meant to protect the cartels: Hollywood, the music industry, etc. i.e. those with the physical power needed to fuck over anyone who opposed them.

And the laws are used as a carrot to lead the artist masses to attack the cartels' enemies and carry a false sense of security.

Yup, this is true. Even painters and sculptors that post their works online.

It is hard to prevent redistribution.

At least, no one can have the one I created originally but they can print out very good quality work if they have a good printer.
