Was it not the UK an EU that made them stop changing their charging ports and use the USB c because they wanted to stop them from price Gouging for special chargers and cords? I personally have a feeling there may be a good reason. I'm not trying to fight the point of less privacy if you might be wondering. I personally live privacy but have had that privacy used as a weapon against me. Sometimes a little transparency might be needed.
Apple just surrendered a major battleground in the fight for digital privacy.
The UK government demanded a backdoor to user data, and instead of compromising globally, Apple chose to strip end-to-end encryption from iCloud backups in the UK.
This isn’t just a local issue—it sets a dangerous precedent for governments worldwide. If one country can force a rollback on privacy, how long before others follow?
