Lol đ scrambled eggs with chicken 𤣠I think it comes down to incentives, and maybe thatâs just going to be a slow process until thereâs some tipping point in incentives. Right now there isnât a huge incentive for creators to devote time to Nostr because there isnât a large user base and therefore not a lot of economic opportunity. But then that means there isnât a lot of reason for users to casually spend money on content, because it typically isnât high quality enough to warrant that, or if it is high quality it just isnât the content theyâre looking for. Creators need to look at nostr and feel FOMO, like âholy shit look whatâs possible there,â and I donât feel like thatâs going on here yet.

yes and yes. after this past week speaking to hundreds of people, i really don't think we worry all that much or focus that much on trying to on-board creators or value for value. they'll come once the ecosystem can sustain them. we focus on spreading nostr as a digital social identity that you can own and take with you from app to app. people really understand that and can get behind it.
I think i mostly agree. Nostr wonât yet attract anyone who is already established and earning on other networks. Itâs too small, not enough opportunity. But I also think the growth has to happen in tandem. In other words, users who come here and enjoy having a portable social identity will still want content here, or else they go back to X or IG, etc, for it. But for now there have to be those creators who are willing to continue to be here and create for other reasons.
Glad weâre on the same page. âSovereign identity across appsâ how we get from here to chicken AND egg.
