You can both also create a new keypair (only known to you and other party) and then DM with each other. Problem solved

Fully private DMs are a must for Nostr apps but I have yet to test out SimpleX.

Damn, every time I open nostr I see new ideas emerge. I feel like this “tech stack” (dunno how to call it) develops waaay faster than traditional social media. And I’m glad to witness it. Cheers!
