Custodial Bitcoin is dangerous for a number of reasons

- Surveillance: the custodian can see everything you do

- Rehypothecation: the custodian can steal all your funds

- Permissioned: with enough pressure you'll no longer be able to make the payments they don't want you to make

- 21 million no more: the custodian can run fractional reserves and create 'paper bitcoin'
